During the summer, you have almost unlimited time to discover nature, thanks to our light summer nights. The Swedish right of public access gives you countless possibilities to explore a wilderness full of wildlife and interesting plants.
Here you find wilderness and terrain for fast-paced adventures as well as secluded, serene places. During the summer and autumn, you can go biking, horseback riding, hiking, and trail running. The Lule River is a playground for those who enjoy kayaking or canoeing.
Guided tour of Treehotel
Curious about the Treehotel? Join one of our guided tours where we tell the whole story of how Treehotel became a reality. You can also follow the work through pictures and stories. We finish with a leisurely stroll up to the area for a viewing of the treerooms and sauna. Please bring shoes suitable for walking in the woods and fields.

Village walking
Experience the culture and buildings of a typical small northern village. Come along for Village Walking, a year-round activity where you go by foot or bicycle during the summer, and perhaps with a kick-sled during the winter. You get a complete tour of Harads with stories about the village’s local history, present and future. The tour finishes with a visit to a village family who offers coffee and pastries, and tells their story.

The Tree Sauna
A steam bath offers both relaxation and stimulation for philosophical thoughts and ideas. Our tree sauna has comfortable space for up to 12 people. You also have access to a hot tub and our custom-designed relaxation area.

Exciting day tour with a peek into the Sami culture
Your guide picks you up in the morning and takes you on a guided tour to Flakaberg, a village about 80 km from Harads. Here we’ll visit the family of Lars Eriksson who will show his reindeer pastures and talk about the Sami culture. In winter, you’re invited on a snowmobile tour to the Gorgim Lake (in summer, we walk), where you’ll be served a typical Sami lunch around a campfire in a teepee-like “kåta.” The kind hospitality of Lars and his family will give you memories for life.

Mountain bike
Experience an exciting day by mountain bike in the northern forests. There are many fine trails around the Luleå River. And with our talented guide on board, you’ll roll through woods and fields where there are good chances of meeting game. Lunch is served at a nice vantage point before you peddle back to Treehotel.

Trekking
You travel together with our guide to Storklint, a popular ski resort about 20 minutes by car from Treehotel. The area around Storklints is known for its beautiful nature. During your trek, our expert guide will tell you more about our Nordic flora and fauna. The excursion provides great photo opportunities and vantage points, as well as a game lunch enjoyed by the campfire.

Sea kayaking on the historic Lule River
After thorough security and equipment instructions, you head down to the river. Together with an experienced guide, you’ll paddle at a leisurely pace up the historic Lule River. A stop ashore with lunch is included, and you can relax while the guide prepares a delicious lunch of wild game served by the open fire. Then it’s the return trip home, and you’ll paddle back to Harads and Treehotel.

Relaxed driving and horseback riding tour
Try an outing with our comfortable, modern horse-drawn cart at a leisurely pace. Our calm, safe horses of the Irish cob breed take us over an area that was ravaged by Sweden’s largest forest fire in 2006. We’ll pack sausages to grill on the tour, and stop with the cart to make a fire and have a light meal. It’s also possible to ride horseback rather than drive if someone in your party prefers it. Our calm Irish cob horses will carry us at changing tempos. During the trip, we’ll stop to enjoy a packed lunch and rest a while. This year’s foals often accompany us on the tour, following behind their mothers. Organized by Caspadia’s Farm.

Midnight riding in Norrbotten’s bright nights
During the summer’s fantastic light nights, we’ll ride over the enormous area that was ravaged by Sweden’s largest forest fire and experience the unique scenery. Our steady
Irish cob horses will carry us in varying tempos. During the trip we’ll stop to enjoy delicious waffles with cloudberries and cream. This year’s foals often accompany us on the tour, following behind their mothers. Organized by Caspadia’s Farm.

Trial horseback riding or carriage
Take the opportunity to try horseback riding on Caspadia’s Farm’s calm Irish cob horses. If you’re a beginner or have minimal experience riding, this is a chance for you to test our horses and basic riding tours. You’ll learn a little about the basics of riding during this short trip out in a natural environment. Our calm, safe horses carry us at a tempo suitable for the riders. You can ride at the pace you want and can handle!
From May 1 – November 1, you can also choose to ride in a carriage behind the horse for this activity.

Highland cattle safari
You ride in a trailor behind a tractor to meet Caspadia’s Farm’s cows and calves of the Highland Cattle breed. We consider safety, and therefore all participants sit in a special trailor surrounded by bars, where no cows can get into. The cart is pulled by our new, environmentally friendly, fuel-efficient tractor.
Our long-haired and horned cattle graze on a large area along the Lule River. During this tour you can observe the tame animals up close and even try to feed them with the foder we’ll provide. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy a tasty snack with a picnic in the cow pastures.

Guided tour of Caspadia´s Farm
On Caspadia’s Farm, we breed Irish Cob horses and Highland Cattle. We also have cats, chickens and dogs. In April, May and June, the calves and foals arrive. Maybe you’ll be lucky enough to be here when they’re born!
Highland Cattle originate from Scotland and resemble a smaller musk ox with their long hair and long horns. Our calm Irish cob horses come originally from Ireland and England; they’re very calm and nice to look at.

Evening fishing on the beautiful Bodträsk River
A guide will pick you up at Treehotel around 20:00. We’ll drive to the village Klusån and go up over the huge area that was ravaged by Sweden’s biggest forest fire in 2006.
The goal of our trip is the beautiful Bodträsk River with its sparkling beach. In tranquility you can try fishing for perch, bleak, roach, ide, bream, trout, pike and more. If weather permits, we’ll start a fire, make some coffee, and you can grill your fish over an open fire (if you get a bite). Expected return time to Treehotel is no later than midnight.
If the water level on Bodträsk is too high due to rain, it gets difficult to catch fish. In this case, the excursion will be cancelled.

Evening fishing on the Lule River
Our guide picks you up at Treehotel around 20:00 to start the tour. On this tour we’ll fish from the shore of the Lule River with a spinning rod. Here you can catch everything from perch, bleak and roach to ide, bream, trout, pike, walleye, whitefish and trout. The Lule River is rich in fine fish! During a break we’ll enjoy some coffee/tea and cake from Britta’s Pensionat. Expected return time to Treehotel is no later than midnight.
