Experience the culture and buildings of a typical small northern village. Come along for Village Walking, a year-round activity where you go by foot or bicycle during the summer, and perhaps with a kick-sled during the winter. You get a complete tour of Harads with stories about the village’s local history, present and future. The tour finishes with a visit to a village family who offers coffee and pastries, and tells their story.

A steam bath offers both relaxation and stimulation for philosophical thoughts and ideas. Our tree sauna has comfortable space for up to 8 people. We also have an out door hot tub chargeable with 1500 SEK per use.

Your guide picks you up in the morning and takes you on a guided tour to Flakaberg, a village about 80 km from Harads. Here we’ll visit the family of Lars Eriksson who will show his reindeer pastures and talk about the Sami culture. In winter, you’re invited on a snowmobile tour to the Gorgim Lake (in summer, we walk), where you’ll be served a typical Sami lunch around a campfire in a teepee-like “kåta.” The kind hospitality of Lars and his family will give you memories for life.

Get up close to the beautiful wilderness with a snowshoe tour. At Treehotel, your guide will equip you with warm clothes, boots, snowshoes and poles. During the tour we’ll share our knowledge of animals and nature, and the art of surviving in the wild – including how to start a fire in the winter. The hike will go up to a mountain peak where you’ll have a magnificent view of the river valley’s winter landscape. We’ll take a break at the campfire and enjoy an outdoor lunch. And since we’re trekking silently over the terrain, there is a good possibility of seeing elk and forest birds.

A tour with dog and sled through the pristine forest and over the frozen river provides a dream-like feeling. You’re side by side with nature and we promise you an unforgettable experience. The tour begins at Treehotel where our guide will provide you with warm clothing, gloves and hat. After a safety briefing and instructions for sitting on the sled, it’s time to go! After an hour of sledding, we’ll pause to enjoy a warm drink in the beautiful wilderness before returning to Treehotel.

On Caspadia’s Farm, we breed Irish Cob horses and Highland Cattle. We also have cats, chickens and dogs. In April, May and June, the calves and foals arrive. Maybe you’ll be lucky enough to be here when they’re born!

Highland Cattle originate from Scotland and resemble a smaller musk ox with their long hair and long horns. Our calm Irish cob horses come originally from Ireland and England; they’re very calm and nice to look at.

We hitch a horse to the sled, or you can ride if you wish. We use the northern type of sled called “rissla,” which is a smaller sled for just a few people. From under a warm fleece blanket you’ll experience the Norbotten winter landscape with wonderful, glittering snow, mostly clear blue skies, and biting cold. Are you looking for a challenge? Test your balance on a pair of horse-pulled skis or bobsleigh and experience the speed and excitement! You’ll skijor in a harness behind the horse with an experienced guide as your co-rider. The speed depends on how steady you are on your legs. Warm shoes and clothes are a must; there’s a high risk you’ll get closer to the snow than you think. We’ll stick to the open fields so you can fall softly in the snow. Take the opportunity to try horseback riding on Caspadia’s Farm’s calm Irish cob horses. If you’re a beginner or have minimal experience riding, this is a chance for you to test our horses and basic riding tours. You’ll learn a little about the basics of riding during this short trip out in a natural environment. Our calm, safe horses carry us at a tempo suitable for the riders. You can ride at the pace you want and can handle!

Our capable guide will pick you up at Treehotel at 10:00. Equipped with a drill, bait and coffee we’ll head out on the beautiful Lule River where you’ll drill your own hole and test out ice fishing in the beautiful early spring. After about 2 hours we’ll take a break, start a warm open fire and grill our fish for lunch.

Challenge yourself to build your own “crawl-in” in our beautiful winter landscape! Your building material is snow and only snow. We’ll build up our igloo in the traditional way, a craft that takes time and is not all that easy. But we know that everyone can do it with a little help. Building an igloo is also a team-building project, suitable for 3-4 people. The only tools you need are special saws and knives to cut out blocks and make joints between the blocks. We’ll take a break by the fire for coffee and a warm lunch.

Riding a snowmobile through a beautiful winter landscape is a liberating feeling, just like surfing or riding a motorbike. If you haven't tried it, it's a must. If you have, you're going to want to do it again.

A homely indoor activity with flavor and aroma. Bake your own pizza in our wood-fired oven. We set up the accessories and give a brief introduction. Includes everything you need to bake, private room, sauna and spa. 450 SEK / person.

A new beautiful and exciting activity in the moonlight with the chance to see the Northern ights. The evening is lit by torches and candles while we serve a 3 course dinner in a heated  tipi tent on an ice covered lake. You sit on reindeer skins while enjoying a fantastic meal over two and a half hours.
