The Jokkmokk Journey: A day of Sámi Culture

Booking
Namnlös

Experience the living culture of Sápmi on a full-day journey to Jokkmokk, often regarded as the cultural heart of the Sámi people in Sweden. Travel through ancient reindeer grazing lands while your guide from Sápmi Nature shares stories about the history, traditions, and contemporary life of Europe’s only Indigenous people.

This immersive journey begins with a visit to the renowned Ájtte Museum for an inspiring introduction to Sámi culture. You will also explore local Sámi businesses where traditional duodji (craftsmanship), art, and modern design meet, all rooted in centuries of Indigenous knowledge. The day concludes with a tasting of carefully selected local delicacies, featuring products from Sápmi Nature and other small-scale producers—a perfect ending to an authentic cultural experience. This tasting is served comfortably in our minivan during the journey back to your accommodation.
