Now we can welcome the new member of the Treehotel family – Biosphere! The new design room is built in line with Treehotel's focus on sustainability, natural tourism and conservation of the local bird population, created by the Danish architect BIG, Bjarke Ingels Group.
Treehotel and BIG share a passion for biodiversity and the environment. These shared values come together in the new room, which not only adds a new design and structure to the area, but also becomes a part of the natural biosphere. The theme of the planned eighth room is connected to bird life, and takes the idea of protecting the local bird population one step further. Biosphere amplifies Treehotel's focus on sustainability and natural tourism, helping facilitate the conservation of the local bird population: the treetop hotel room with a façade containing 340 bird nests, Treehotel aims to decrease the downward spiral of the bird population in the Swedish woods and instead strengthen the biosphere and natural habitat.
