The Dragonfly is our second-largest room, at 52 sq. m. and 22 tons. The room is primarily used for private accommodation, but can also be used for small conferences of up to 6 participants. Here you will find four beds in two bedrooms, one with a view of the Lule River Valley from the bed and the other facing the calm, wind-whispering forest.
A 15-metre ramp takes you up to the Dragonfly and ends at a small patio outside the door. This too has been the site of many proposals and engagements over the years.
Inside the room, large panoramic windows offer a view of the river valley. In some places, the light falls in a way that almost gives you the illusion of being able to touch the trees outside. Even in the bathroom, with its own shower, you have an amazing view of tall pines and the Lule River.
All of the Treehotel tree rooms have incinerating toilets and our sustainable Rukkamoinika water system with 3 litres of water for washing your hands.
The room is a wooden construction with a metal facade which has taken on a rusty brown shade, allowing the room to blend in amongst the pines.
The Dragonfly is spacious enough for two couples, four friends, a family, or as a social space for a larger group staying in other rooms.
The Dragonfly room was designed by Finnish architect firm Rintala Eggertsson.

Biosphere
The hotel room Biosphere is the latest addition to Treehotel. The 34m2 Biosphere is designed to attract wildlife and for guests to be fully immersed in the surrounding forest. The room will be open for visitors in June, 2022.
The Mirrorcube
The Mirrorcube is an exciting hide-out among the trees, camouflaged by mirrored walls reflecting their surroundings.
The base consists of an aluminum frame around the tree trunk and the walls are covered with reflective glass.
Bird’s nest
The Bird’s nest is built on the contrasts between the outside and inside.
The treeroom’s exterior is nothing but a gigantic bird’s nest. It gives a camouflage so you quickly disappear and become part of the surroundings.
The Cabin
This treeroom’s location was based on the idea of creating a platform high up on a sharp hillside overlooking the Lule River valley.
You can reach the hut from here via a horizontal bridge among the trees. At the front of the bridge is a large wooden deck.
7th room
As you near the seventh room from below and look up at the sky, the entire underside of the building is covered by a life size photograph of the treetops as they looked before the room was put in place.
This clever camouflage piques one’s curiosity. What is hiding up there?
The Ufo
While working on the Bird’s Nest, which is largely in harmony with its surroundings, the idea of creating an entirely different environment was born.
And what could be more different than an UFO?
Dragonfly
With its 52 square metres and 22 metric tonnes, the Dragonfly is our second-largest room.
Unique in many ways, this room can function both as a conference space as well as private suite.
The Blue Cone
The Blue Cone is based on simplicity and accessibility, both in terms of material and design.
The room is a traditional wooden structure with three foundations in the ground to give a sense of height and lightness, but also stability.
